2012 BERNARDIN Shopping Spree Contest

Beyond their quality and versatility, BERNARDIN® brand Mason Jars offer you an opportunity to win one of ten (10) $1,000 Shopping Sprees. Purchase a case of Bernardin Mason Jars and enter the 7th annual (2012) Shopping Spree Sweepstakes.
Here are the official rules:

Bernardin Shopping Spree Sweepstakes

1. How to enter: Purchase a specially marked case of BERNARDIN® Mason Jars with 2-piece SNAP LID® Closures. Clip SHOPPING SPREE symbol printed on the inside flap of the case. Complete the BALLOT with your name, surface mail address, phone number, e-mail address and the store at which you made your Bernardin purchase. Mail the SHOPPING SPREE symbol and the completed BALLOT with sufficient postage to: Bernardin Shopping Spree Sweepstakes, PO Box 250 U-7, Pickering, ON, L1V 2R4.  For no purchase entry, fill out on line ballot or send your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail address, favourite store that sells Bernardin products, and an original hand written 50-word essay on the advantages of preserving food at home and mail to the address above. Enter as often as you wish; mail each entry separately! Envelopes containing duplicate entries will qualify as a single entry only.

2.  To be eligible to win, entries must be submitted individually, must include the Shopping Spree symbol or the 50-word essay (detailed above) and must be received by the independent judging organization two (2) weeks prior to the month’s stipulated draw (the “Contest Closing Date”). There will be four (4) draws.

The Draw Dates and respective closing dates are:

Draw 2- (Close date June 30, 2012) Draw date July 3, 2012 (4 prizes)

Draw 3- (Close date Sept 28, 2012) Draw date Oct 1, 2012 (4 prizes)

Draw 4- (Close date Dec 27, 2012) Draw date Dec 28, 2012 (1 prize)

3. Draw Dates and Prizes:

• Each prize will consist of a $1,000.00 gift certificate from the store in which the winner purchased a case of BERNARDIN® Mason Jars.

4. A random draw will be made from all eligible entries received by the independent contest organizer on the dates specified, in Pickering, Ontario, at 10:00 am EST from all eligible entries received prior to that specific contest closing date. Entries from each previous draw will be carried forward to each subsequent draw for that year’s contest and are eligible entries. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries. Limit one prize per household.

5. Selected entrants will be notified by telephone. In order to win, you must first correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone at a mutually convenient time. The selected entrants will be required to sign a declaration and release form, releasing Bernardin Ltd., and affiliated companies, their advertising and promotional agencies and the independent contest organizers from any liability resulting from the awarding of the prize, confirming acceptance of the prize awarded and giving permission to Bernardin Ltd. and its agencies to use the winners names and photographs without further compensation for any upcoming publicity. The prize must be accepted as awarded by Bernardin Ltd., and no substitutions, transfers or conversions will be allowed unless at the discretion of Bernardin Ltd., which may substitute a prize of comparable or greater value.

6. To enter and to be eligible to win, an entrant must be a resident of Canada who has reached the age of majority in his/her province of residence and who is not an employee of or domiciled with a employee of Bernardin Ltd. or its affiliated companies, their advertising and promotional agencies or the independent contest organizers. By entering, entrants agree to abide by the contest rules and regulations and the decisions of the independent contest organizers, which are final. All entries become the property of Bernardin Ltd., which assumes no responsibility for lost, delayed, destroyed, misidentified or misdirected entries.
